My grandma’s call that meant more than
food was ready it meant gathering, sharing
and coming home.

The origin of Pra Mesa!
Born in Portugal, in the small village of Vale-Covo, meant being surrounded by family at every turn. Everyone lived just minutes apart, and home was always close.
As I grew older, summers became my way back—returning
to the mainland felt like stepping into a warm hug, filled with familiar faces, scents, and flavors. These memories are the foundation
of this cookbook.
Food Mixed with Nostalgia
Authentic Portuguese recipes some passed down from my grandmother’s cookbook, others classic dishes every Portuguese kitchen knows by heart.

My childhood filled with love
shared through family stories, old photos, and recipes that brought us together around a home-cooked meal.
Vó e Vô
Dedicated to all my grandparents who cared for me and loved me deeply. Some are no longer with us, but their love lives on and so do their recipes.
